Dr. Cosman is currently Associate Professor of Clinical Surgery at UCSD healthcare. He has been with UCSD Healthcare since 1995.  Dr. Cosman has received the Kaiser Teaching Award, given by third-year medical students. He has also been nominated for Humanism in medicine Award. And his interest in history was rewarded with a second place showing for an article he wrote for the San Diego History Society's Institute of History competition. Dr. Cosman has articles in several professional organizations, and holds a special interest in chronic inflammatory lesions and does some clinical research. He has published several articles and studies.
